June 5, 2024, is the 53rd World Environment Day, co-hosted by the Provincial People's Congress Urban Construction and Environmental Resources Committee, the Provincial Ecological Environment Department, and the Hefei Municipal People's Government.The 2024 commemoration of World Environment Day and the launch ceremony of the Jianghuai Environmental Protection Century Action will be grandly held at the Hefei New Station Shaoquan Lake Science and Innovation Center.
The event is co-hosted by the Provincial People's Congress Urban Construction and Environmental Resources Committee, the Provincial Ecological Environment Department, and the Hefei Municipal People's Government. Jia Liangqing, a member of the Provincial Ecological Environment Department Party Group and Chief Engineer, will host the event. Wei Xiaoming, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, will attend and present the flag to the representatives of the journalists. Wang Liangu, Vice Mayor of Hefei, and Huang Weidong, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the New Station High-tech Zone, will deliver speeches.
