Recently, the "Beautiful China, I Take the Lead" June 5th Environmental Day themed event was successfully held. It was hosted by the Xinzhan High-tech Zone Ecological Environment Sub-bureau and Moden Community Party Committee, organized by Photo Synthesis Forest, and co-organized by Anhui University of Chinese Medicine and Jinlv Environmental Technology Co., Ltd.
With the strong support of the company's trade union, we used "resource recycling" and "zero-waste living" as the core themes. We set up interactive sessions combining "fun games" and "hands-on practice." Participants earned opportunities for hands-on activities by winning games, creating an environmental closed-loop of "game-learning-practice." This allowed participants to immersively experience the charm of resource recycling and elevate the "zero-waste" concept to new heights!
Game Science Popularization: Making Waste Sorting Fun and Smart
Waste Sorting Throwing Challenge: Education through Entertainment, Accurate Sorting!
Participants held sandbags with pictures of various types of garbage and aimed at the corresponding sorting bins (recyclables, hazardous waste, kitchen waste, other waste) for accurate throwing! Using visual symbols (pictures) + physical actions (throwing) to strengthen memory, breaking the stereotype that "waste sorting = trouble" in traditional cognition, and making waste sorting more popular;
Waste Sorting Board Game Challenge: Brain-Burning Duel, Accurate Learning!
Two players formed a team, engaging in a battle of wits by asking each other questions and describing the type of "garbage cards" in their hands (e.g., "What material is it made of?", "Where is it commonly found?"). The first to guess the card correctly wins! The board game duel becomes a "knowledge PK," transforming waste sorting from an administrative instruction into a cultural symbol integrated into life. The novel gameplay attracted many young people and families, providing education through entertainment and deepening the public's understanding of complex waste sorting, making waste sorting fun.
Zero-Waste Handicraft Workshop: Turning Waste into Treasure, Creative Rebirth!
Jinlv Environmental Trade Union, in collaboration with the SEE Foundation, carefully prepared a wealth of zero-waste handicraft materials and finished product displays, allowing participants to personally experience the magic of "turning waste into treasure:"
Originally discarded event banners, after cutting and sewing, were transformed into unique and durable custom canvas bags, becoming fashionable items for eco-friendly travel.
Ordinary discarded glass bottles, adorned with twine, dried flowers, or paintings, instantly transformed into warm and romantic nightlights, illuminating the cozy corners of eco-friendly life.
Scraps of leftover fabric, skillfully sewn, became cute finless porpoise toys, conveying the concept of protecting the Yangtze River ecosystem. Coffee grounds and Chinese herbal medicine residue, seemingly useless "dregs," were placed in beautiful cloth bags to create all-natural deodorizing sachets, effectively absorbing odors and becoming eco-friendly household helpers.
Participants personally completed the transformation process from "waste" to "treasure," feeling a great sense of accomplishment! Each handmade item taken home is a vivid testament to the concept of "recycling."
